Activity 1: Removal Policy
- Samuel's Story BHH has been unable to authenticate this account, so it should be treated as fictional memoir. On at least one website, the author has claimed a 1995 publication date for the story. As a first person child's perspective on the removal experience, it is powerful to engage elementary children in an empathic response to the terrible suffering in the Cherokee removal.
